Horses has always been a huge
part of my life. It started, as it does for many others, as a hobby.
Early in life I decided that I wanted to be a Veterinarian or a Riding
Instructor when I grew up.
I reached my goal when finishing a two year course that gave me a
diploma that said "Qualified Riding Instructor". I have since then
worked as an instructor for four years full time plus numerous years as
a freelance instructor for students on their own horses. I have also
held a position as the general manager for a riding school.
I have owned two horses myself, and I bought both of them as youngsters
and schooled them and watched them develop and grow into beautiful young
animals. I do not currently own a horse due to my current financial
situation, but I plan to own one again in the near future.
I have had plans to develop a website which deals with schooling young
horses and later on in their life, also dressage for competetion.
That is a later project that I
will develop when I have both time and lots of inspiration. It will be
good to write some of my experiences down, as well as being able to use
the written material when teaching.
So, watch this space for when my educational site comes to life.
In the meantime, take good care of yourself and your horse, and remember;
The art of riding is not in your physical strength, but in that light
touch in just the right moment.
That is what makes magic!
