HD & ED:

Like in all large breeds, the BB can develop Hip Dysplasia (HD) and/or Elbow Dysplasia (ED).
You can do things to try and prevent this and the very first thing you should do is make sure that the breeder you have chosen do not breed dogs that have either HD or ED.
When you have gone ahead and bought a pup, it is wise to be careful with it's exercise during it's first year. Avoid stairs, jumping in and out of cars, running along a bicycle and everything else that would put a lot of strain on the growing pup's joints.


Obviously, your grown BB will require quite a lot of exercise, but only after it has had a fair chance to develop into a healthy and musuclar young dog.

VAGINAL PROLAPS:

Females can sometimes be subject to vaginal prolaps, which is when the vaginal walls get swollen and the tissues portrude. Researchers believe that it may be connected to the female hormone oestrogen and the heat cycle. Read more about it here:
